RMK UNIT XI HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING

MINUTES FOR May 9, 2017

FREMONT ROOM, RIDGEMARK CLUBHOUSE

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by President Bill Baker

Board Members Present:  The following were present:  Dennis Hughes, Paul Namkoong, Bill Baker, Parris Giunta, Harry Hill, Kelly Mitchell.

Visitors:  Arlene and Bob Howell, Jim Maxwell, Tim Hagel

Minutes:  The minutes from the February 15, 2017 meeting were approved.

Committee Reports:

 Architectural Review Committee:

Permission was granted to the homeowners of 1020 Paullus Drive for the removal of a damaged oak tree that threatens falling on their home.

Various landscaping and painting plans were approved by the committee during the last three months because they conformed to the CC&R’s.

Old Business:

          Speed Awareness Program:

Bill Baker created a committee to of Heidi Lipp and Dennis Hughes to work with him to create a mailing to the homeowners to indicate their preferences for 1) Speed Humps 2) Speed Indicator Signs or 3) Do Nothing.  The package will review the pluses and minuses of each option and give the homeowners the opportunity to indicate their preference for one of the options.  The results will be tallied and discussed at the August board meeting.

Dennis Hughes agreed to place the remaining speeding signs not stolen or damaged on Paullus and Ridgemark Drives. Dennis also reported difficulty getting anyone at the CHP to talk with him about patrolling our roads for speeding.

New Business:

          Resurfacing the Roads:

Due to his experience in the construction business, Bill asked Kelly Mitchell to review the condition of the roads to determine if they need resurfacing.  Kelly reported it was his opinion that the roads do not need resurfacing at this time.  Other board members agreed.  A motion was made and passed to have Kelly inspect the roads for cracks and other issues and to make a recommendation to the board for any needed repairs.

          Landscaping and Maintenance:

The board had a discussion of landscaping issues and the landscaping services provided by Cutting Edge.  We reviewed the monthly cost and the services provided.  Bill agreed to contact the owner at Cutting Edge to discuss their services.  Also, he wanted to ask for their assistance in blocking access to the 8th tee from Ridgemark Drive.

A question came up about the fallen tree limbs still on the side of the road at the intersection of Paullus and South Ridgemark.  Bill agreed to call Ridgemark management to ask that they clear away the debris.

Dennis Hughes agreed to research who has the responsibility for maintaining fire hydrants and road signs. 

Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm.

The next board of directors meeting will be on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 7:00 pm.
